A heritage preservation project
A full external repaint was required of all previously painted external surfaces of the Tivoli Theatre, also known as Applecross District Hall – a significant example of Art Deco architecture. It was one of the first built in the style, in Perth. It is also historic for being the place where the first Roads Board meetings were held.
Sensitive treatment was required to preserve the art deco features and specialised access equipment was used, including a Knuckle Boom lift.
During the four weeks of this project, the facility continued to operate as a theatre and community centre. The client appreciated our constant Stakeholder Engagement, which smoothed the process and avoided disruption.
